Interact with the Dolphins

by

Marineland opened in 1938 as the world's first underwater motion picture studio. "Oceanarium" - a new word - was used when denoting a place where many species of marine life lived together as they do in the sea.
From opening day Marineland drew large numbers of interested visitors, and has become one of Florida's leading tourist attractions. It has been the site of pathbreaking research in marine biology. A host of prominent individuals from explorers, first ladies and film makers, to Nobel and Pulitzer-prize winning authors, artists and poets, have been associated in the creation and promotion of Marineland over the years.

Marineland is now proud to debut the all new Dolphin and Trainer Experience For the first time ever its guests will have an opportunity to enter the water and interact with dolphins just like the trainers. The adventure begins with a thorough lesson about dolphins, their habitat, and what is involved with training such magnificent animals. A Marineland expert will explain, step by step, what will occur during your water interaction. After suiting up in one of the Scubapro wetsuits, Daters, will be taken through a brief stretching session. Hart rates tend to run a little fast at this point. The prospect of being in the water with a dolphin usually creates a tremendous amount of excitement. Standing side by side with the Marineland trainers, participants will take their part in a variety of activities. From pec waves and head shakes to bows and rubdowns, Daters, will give signals and reward the dolphins just like the pros. Most importantly, they will develop a relationship with a dolphin like never betheore possible. The adventure is completed with an official certificate commemorating the accomplishment.
